Who we are

JDA Code Ltd (trading as Simply Bold, "we" or "us") operates simplybold.agency and provides Shopify development services. For enquiries about how we handle personal data, email hello@simplybold.agency.

JDA Code Ltd is the controller of personal data collected through the website and its enquiry forms, except where another organisation independently determines how its own data is used.

Information we collect

When you contact us, we may collect:

• Your name, email address and phone number.
• Your business name or Shopify store URL.
• The service you are interested in and your message.
• Follow-up correspondence and relevant project information you choose to share.

Our hosting provider also processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, potentially including IP addresses, device and browser information, request timestamps and server logs. Our enquiry protection temporarily uses a keyed hash of your IP address rather than storing the plain address in its Redis rate-limit keys.

Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card data or sensitive personal information in the enquiry form.

Why we use personal data

• Responding to enquiries: to review requests, reply, discuss scope and take steps you request before entering a potential contract.
• Running our business: to manage correspondence, follow up on discussions and maintain records of potential and existing client relationships, where we have a legitimate interest.
• Security and abuse prevention: to protect the enquiry form, diagnose service issues and limit repeated submissions, based on our legitimate interests in operating a secure service.
• Legal requirements: where necessary to comply with applicable law or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not add you to a promotional mailing list simply because you submitted an enquiry. If marketing communications are introduced, we will provide any additional information and obtain consent where required.

Who processes information for us

We use service providers to operate the website. These currently include:

• Cloudflare: website hosting, application execution, delivery infrastructure and related operational logging.
• Resend: delivery of the enquiry notification to us and the acknowledgement email sent to you.
• Upstash Redis: temporary hashed identifiers for enquiry rate limiting and duplicate submission protection.

These providers may process data outside the UK. Any applicable international data transfers must comply with UK data protection requirements. Contact us if you would like information about the arrangements relevant to your data. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep information

Enquiry correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to answer your request, manage any resulting work, maintain appropriate business records or comply with legal duties. The applicable period depends on the purpose and any resulting contractual or legal obligations.

The contact form's IP rate-limit entries automatically expire after approximately one hour. Duplicate-delivery records are designed to expire after approximately 23 hours. These Redis entries use keyed hashes and delivery identifiers; email correspondence is held separately by the email provider.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal data, object to certain processing and request data portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Cookies and browser storage
